First Day of Preschool!

Today was Elijah's first day of preschool. We have been waiting a year to get into this school and were beside ourselves when he finally got in (Ezra is going on the waiting list this year!) He has 2-team teachers, Mrs. G and Mrs. C, and 11 kids in his happy little classroom. We woke up this morning and he was ready and very excited to be going to school. When we got there he had to wash his hands (all kids do upon entering class) and he said, "mama, do you know how many pumps of soap to use...2!" that was news to me, but his teacher must have taught him that on Tuesday at our conference. Next, he went straight for the tow truck that he had been talking about all week, made his rounds to the aquarium, sand scooping box, and the magnifying glasses. At this point he looks at me and says, "okay, bye bye mama!" chipper as can be. So, I kneeled down, stunned and got my hug and kiss, (shot a couple more pics) and left. He never looked back...

When we picked him up he was great! He had a blast, his teacher said he was very involved in all activities, and that was that. We went to the Living Room for a special lunch and finished our day with our last OB appointment. This little man who has blessed us beyond ALL expectations is about to become a BIG brother on Tuesday. Wow, Ezra is one lucky kid :)

I LOVE ELIJAH...the most and the most and the most! He is MY hero!!

First Dentist Appointment

Well, after feeling like a horrible mama for not taking my son to the dentist yet (the recommend going at 1 year-E. is now 3 1/2) we took him last week! He is such a trooper! The assistant came and got him, he walked back with her alone, and got x-rays with daddy. No issues!! Then I went with him for his cleaning. This kid is really the coolest. He jumps up in the chair, chats away with the lovely woman cleaning his teeth and totally conquered the dentist.

I am beyond happy to report he is cavity free so now I am off the hook about the guilt of waiting so long. The one thing we did realize is that he is SO beautiful and SO trusting that we really need to watch him because he would probably walk off with anyone who promised him a sticker and a balloon :) It was awesome, he is amazing, and life is good!
